The story follows Aye Chan, a schoolteacher-turned-underground journalist, who begins documenting the slow decay of her homeland under military rule. After her brother, a peaceful activist, is executed in a staged trial, Aye finds herself pulled into the heart of a resistance movement. Using only an old camera and a burner phone, she begins leaking footage of the regime’s abuses to the outside world—risking not only her life but the safety of everyone around her.

The tone of MIRMAR is quiet but deeply powerful. Long, lingering shots of cracked earth, faded murals, and empty classrooms contrast with sudden bursts of tension and violence.
