“When the walls crumble, the nightmare begins again.”
See No Evil 3 (2025) drags audiences screaming back into the dark world of Jacob Goodnight, the hulking killer who has become an icon of modern slasher cinema. After an eight-year silence since the second film, WWE Studios resurrects the franchise with a fresh vision, promising more gore, bigger scares, and an unsettling new setting for Jacob’s bloody rampage.
Set in an abandoned luxury hotel slated for demolition, the film opens with a team of urban explorers filming a viral video about haunted places. Among them is Lila (played by rising scream queen Jenna Ortega), who’s looking for internet fame—and maybe answers about her brother who vanished in the same building years before. But once inside, the crew realizes they’re not alone: Jacob Goodnight (Kane) is alive, lurking in the shadows, and thirsting for vengeance.
Director Adam Green (Hatchet) injects new life into the franchise, combining brutal practical effects with moments of eerie silence that make Jacob’s presence even more terrifying. This time, Jacob’s killing style is even more sadistic, using traps rigged into the crumbling hotel infrastructure—elevators, collapsing ceilings, even flooded hallways—to dispatch his victims in creative and gruesome ways.
While See No Evil 3 offers plenty of splatter for horror fans, it also adds unexpected layers to Jacob’s backstory. Flashbacks reveal hints about his childhood and how the hotel connects to his mother’s twisted influence, giving viewers a glimpse into the monster’s mind. Kane remains a commanding presence, conveying silent menace with every movement.
Critics may debate whether the franchise needed another entry, but See No Evil 3 (2025) proves there’s still gas in the tank for Jacob Goodnight. It’s bloody, relentless, and tailor-made for horror fans who crave screams, shocks, and buckets of gore.
