Set years before he claimed the title of king, this chapter chronicles the brutal rise of Mathayus, the man who would become the Scorpion King—before the crown, before the betrayal, before the curse.

When the kingdom of Nubia is burned to ash by a warlord known only as Sargon the Vile, a young Mathayus—then a low-ranking Black Scorpion mercenary—is left with nothing but vengeance in his blood and a scar on his soul. To avenge his brother and protect the remnants of his homeland, he takes on a near-suicidal mission: infiltrate Sargon’s obsidian fortress, steal the Scroll of Aset, and destroy the ritual that would make Sargon immortal.

Along the way, Mathayus forges uneasy alliances: a cunning desert thief named Kira, a disgraced Magi sorcerer, and a blind priest who claims the gods speak through flame. As their journey cuts through cursed temples, gladiator arenas, and ancient catacombs filled with monstrous guardians, Mathayus must not only fight his enemies, but resist the darkness rising within himself.

The film blends large-scale sword-and-sand battles with dark mythology, combining the visual intensity of 300, the mysticism of The Mummy, and the grit of Gladiator. In this world, loyalty is scarce, power is deadly, and survival means embracing the beast inside—or becoming prey to it.
