Set in a remote Appalachian coal town in the 1950s, this psychological horror-thriller follows a group of miners who descend into a newly reopened shaft—only to find that something else has been waiting in the dark all along.

Led by foreman Ezra Cole, a war veteran carrying both physical and emotional scars, the crew faces more than collapsing rock and faulty equipment. As they tunnel deeper, strange echoes begin to fill the shafts—whispers in dead languages, ghostly shapes in the shadows, and a growing sense that they are not alone. Above ground, Ezra’s daughter Lily searches for answers, uncovering a history of disappearances, cursed folklore, and a mining company desperate to bury its sins. Her investigation interweaves with her father's descent, building a chilling dual narrative of light and dark, memory and madness. The town, meanwhile, watches in silence, trapped between superstition and the desperate need for survival.
