Set one year after the Blood River killings, a new town has emerged on the edge of the cursed wilderness. Led by former sheriff Mara Lang, the town promises protection and peace for those haunted by the past. But when a series of grisly murders begins upstream, Mara is forced to face an ugly truth: the river's evil wasn’t a fluke—it was a warning. And this time, something older and more intelligent is using the water as a weapon.
As the townspeople unravel clues from forgotten tribal legends and cursed relics, they realize the original bloodshed awakened something far worse: an ancient entity bound to the land, feeding off violence and fear. With the river cutting off their escape and trust eroding between survivors, paranoia sets in. No one knows who—or what—is doing the killing anymore.
Director Rafe Calder returns with even sharper tension and more visceral set pieces, trading jump scares for slow-burn dread and brutal survival horror.
