The story begins with a massive pile-up on the Incheon Bridge. Among the stranded are a government official, a military scientist, a father and daughter, and several ordinary citizens. What they don’t know is that a truck involved in the crash was transporting secret experimental creatures — military bio-weapons bred for silence and speed. Once released, these creatures hunt by sound.

As fog rolls in and chaos spreads, survivors must navigate both collapsing infrastructure and creatures that can hear the faintest whisper. Tension mounts as each decision, every panicked breath, could mean death. Project Silence plays with auditory fear in clever ways — forcing both characters and audience into quiet suspense.

At its core, the film explores government secrecy, military overreach, and human resilience in extreme situations. There are moral questions about weaponization, responsibility, and sacrifice — but it never forgets to thrill. With gripping pacing and excellent sound design, the silence becomes deafening, every rustle a gunshot.

The performances — particularly from Lee Sun-kyun in one of his final roles — are emotionally grounded and desperate.
