Sinister 3 (2024) returns with a vengeance, reviving the nightmarish terror of the Bughuul mythos and dragging a new generation into his cursed cycle. With Nicholas King once again portraying the terrifying demon Bughuul, and the addition of Marsha Hunt in a key role as a traumatized archivist uncovering the tapes, the third installment promises to go deeper, darker, and more devastating than ever before.

Set nearly a decade after the events of Sinister 2, the story follows Rhea Harper, a skeptical film restoration expert played by Hunt, who is hired to clean and catalog reels found in the abandoned remains of the former Oswalt home. Among the degraded footage is something chilling—new snuff-like recordings, eerily similar in style to the Bughuul tapes... but with different victims. As she digs deeper, Rhea begins to experience hallucinations, strange whispers, and a growing sense that she’s being watched.

Meanwhile, a group of troubled teens who once attended a therapy program near the site are being picked off, one by one—each with a grim visual motif left behind. Bughuul, it seems, has changed the rules. No longer relying solely on children to carry out his will, he's begun manipulating technology itself: audio logs, livestreams, digital files—corrupted media now spreads his influence.

As Rhea races to stop the curse from digitizing itself into a new form of unstoppable viral horror, she must confront her own dark past and face the horrifying truth: Bughuul doesn’t just feed on children’s souls. He evolves with their fear.
